Viewpoint Road, Aptos
This contemporary home occupies a site above Aptos with views of the entire Monterey Bay. From the street, stainless steel gates open onto a long drive into the site. From the pedestrian gate a path leads to the front door of the house through a fruiting Olive grove. Upon entering the house, views of a fountain unfold with Monterey Bay as a backdrop. A spa courtyard flanks the master bedroom wing. An outdoor kitchen with pizza oven is conveniently located adjacent to the interior kitchen. The terrace expands the use of the outdoors along the entire oceanfront side of the house and is defined on one edge by a bocce court. The hillsides and surrounding beds are planted with a low maintenance palette of groundcover, perennials shrubs and trees.
